Who are you?

This website has been created by a partnership between the EMPATIA project, the OIDP network, the OIDP 2017 conference, and the Participedia project.

Why are you doing this?

Our objective is to create a working group within the IODP network that studies the integration of multiple channels of engagement in what we call participatory systems.

What are multichannel innovations?

Multichannel innovations, in a nutshell, are innovations that combine multiple participatory spaces. These could be, for example, a participatory space aimed at young people and another aimed at women. For more information see the following white paper.

What do you mean by hybrid innovations?

A hybrid innovation is an innovation that combines digital and face-to-face participatory spaces.

Who is this website for?

The website has been designed for the members of the IODP network, that said, anyone is welcome to contribute to it.

What is the working group on multichannel innovations?

The working group on multichannel innovations is a newly established IODP working group that in 2017 will map the variety of participatory systems in the IODP cities and will present the results during the IODP conference in Montreal, on the 17th to 19th of June 2017.

What are you going to do with my email?

We will only contact participants who have provided their name and email, to gather further information regarding their contribution and invite to become members of the working group. We will not use the emails provided for any other purpose.

What are you going to do with the data I shared?

We will display it on this website and use the data as a basis for a white paper that will be presented at the IODP conference in Montreal.

I know only of one participatory process in my city what should I do?

Just describe that one! Other users will add more.

I am not a member of the IODP network. Can I still participate?

Why some pins in the map have a name and some other do not?

In question 6 of the survey, if you select that you want to join the multichannel working group, you are asked to provide your name and email. In such case, we display the name associated to the entry.

I have answered all the questions, but I can't find my entry!

When there are multiple entries for the same city, only one entry is randomly displayed on the map. If you click on “see more” and on the following page click on “See other entries” at the bottom page, you will be able to see all the contributions. If you can’t see yours there, please contact us.
